Show Report
The mild winter and warm spring have played havoc with the daffodils, many of which finished early and, the show being a week later due to an early Easter, I was pleasantly surprized with the amount of bulb entries to the show.
The main winner of the Show was Karen Eves, gaining the Spring Challenge Trophy, the Wingleton Trophy and Best in Show. The Ray Taylor Cup was won by Laura Ells and my self-winning the Pot Plant trophy and the Master Class. The other big winner on the day was Alison Berry winning both flower arranging classes and best domestic for her bread rolls.
There were 75 entries by 8 exhibitors, despite not many entries in the preserve classes. One member put in some late entries after showing us some photos on the set up night of the tulips in her garden, gaining red cards (First place) for them.
Lastly, I would like to thank all those who helped on set up and on the day.
