In 1926 the Velvet Lawn Association become the Kimble Horticultural Association. The records of the first Minutes and the Show Schedule cast a fascinating light on the new Association and also on the nature of Society at that time.

The Kimble Horticultural Association closed down in 1931 but was revived in 1934 when it was agreed to hold a small show that would be developed in subsequent years.

A Dip into the Archives - 1975-1983

The Kimble Horticultural Association had closed down in the mid-60's for reasons unknown. However, in 1975 three men decided that the villages of Great and Little Kimble and Marsh needed a new gardening society and the Kimble Horticultural Society was formed.
