8 00 pm        Summer  - The Missing Season

Timothy Walker, former Director at Oxford University Botanic Gardens and now lecturer in Plant Sciences at Somerville College, Oxford, is always a very informative and entertaining speaker.

His new talk completes the set on the different seasons but he says that he found the summer season more challenging.  However, his talk shows that the season does exist and the garden can be full of colour and life in the summer.  His ideas are based on his garden and 20 other gardens in the southern half of England and one in Northern Scotland.
